    3. Response to Message-ID: <[email protected]> from Carl W. Ward According to "Missouri Newspapers on Microfilm at the State Missouri State Archives," the only extant Adair County newspapers for 1976 (at least on microfilm) are those dated Sep. 14, Oct. 26 and Nov. 6. Therefore, one would have to look elsewhere for an obituary. Because of the Nation's centennial in 1976, there was a nationwide flurry of country histories written in the years immediately following. Most were financed, in part, by charging for individual and/or family biographies. One shouldn't overlook that possibility. >------------------------------ >X-Message: #1 >Date: Sat, 23 Feb 2002 11:06:30 -0600 >From: "Carl W. 3. Thank you Gary! I couldn't help Carl much. I will place this info on our Adair Co page as soon as I have time. I will add it here: http://www.rootsweb.com/~moadair/resources.htm Look here: http://vitalrec.com/mo.html If anyone has any additional info/resources just email it to me. FYI: Don't want individual info for our Adair pages, just general info to guide people in family research. Individual info goes on RootsWeb here: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.st ates.missouri.counties.adair Unless it is data from census or cemeteries in Adair. Look here for details: census: http://www.rootsweb.com/~moadair/census/censusACMO.htm cemeteries: http://www.rootsweb.com/~moadair/cemeteries3.htm You will need Adobe reader to view much of the information. It is in PDF format so that people can't come in and copy and past the info to sell to people. I want "OUR Adair info available for you for free! *smile* Still working on making a CD of all "OUR Adair county data. It will be available at cost not for profit. Just don't want to make it until I feel "OUR" info is PACKED with info, and working on different ways I can format it so it is easy for you. I will also make the data available at the Adair County Historical Society, Adair County Library, Picklers Library, Novinger Renewal, and anywhere else I can think of so that this data is preserved and not lost ... if/when ... I am. *smile* Check this page out: http://www.rootsweb.com/~moadair/resources.htm I'm hoping to find employment in the Kirksville area. If you know of any employment opportunities. LET ME KNOW *grin* My resume here: http://www.webmoondance.com/ Thanks! Claudia http://www.rootsweb.com/~moadair/ > Response to Message-ID: <[email protected]> from Carl W.
