Dear Listers, Several years ago I was told by an elderly cousin that our Great Grandparents were buried in the Bethel Cemetery near Sperry, Missouri. I have searched the names of persons buried in that cemetery on the Adair Co. site. My Great Grandparent's names are not listed. Is it possible they are buried in an unmarked grave in that cemetery? Are there Cemetery Sexton records of burials for Bethel Cemetery? Was a burial permit required , and if so do those records exist? Is it possible there are deeds to cemetery plots recorded somewhere? The names of my Great Grandparents were William STITES and his wife Sarah (LEE) STITES. I do not know when they died, but sometime after 1885. I have found others in my family buried at Bethel Cemetery and also the Fort Madison Cemetery. I feel the information given to me by my elderly cousin was accurate. I plan a trip to Missouri in September and would like to locate these graves. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Taunji Stites Waterman Gresham, Oregon
