According to his eldest daughter, my Great Grandfather John GILSON moved to Putnum County, Missouri about 1873. However, his family is listed as living in Morrow, Adair county, Missouri on the 1880 census. Was Adair sectioned from Putnum in this time frame or was the daughter mistaken ?
