Lawyer Brower was born 1805 NY of Jacob and Abagail Brower. He and his bothers John Abraham Brower and Jeremiah Brower and Chancellor L. Brower all moved and settled in MO as of 1827 onward. Some were in Marion Co., MO then Schuyler Co., MO. I have been told that Lawyer Brower was a school teacher and opened a "common" school in Adair Co., MO about 1838-39. He is said to have died 1842. I have no other info for him, I don't know if he married? or had kids? He did die young. I did a google search for him and the school, and I found a "normal" school in Kirksville, Mo. , a roster of 1911 which lists some Brower pupils. Could this be the school that I am looking for? Does anyone recognise this name, or the school? If he is the school founder, then perhaps there is some documentation on him. Thank you for helping. P.S. He had a nephew named for him, and the Nephew married Polly Morton, so this is NOT the man I am looking for. Lillian Kathleen Martin
