My thanks to Claudia Minor for her wonderful response to my query about the Kirksville poor house cemetery. Again I thank you. Russ. >>><:>
No problem, Russ. Wish I could give you more. I meant to email my dad to see if he had some tid bits of info about the Poor House. He has lived in Kirksville all his life and with the great memory he has at 80+, he's a great resource for Kirksville info. Dad was a professor at NEMO for 39 years and his dad Jay Minor and grandfather, W. T. Minor both owned businesses in K'ville. I'll try and find the time to do that and if he has any info, I'll email it here for all to read. Did you all know that The Princess Theatre is for sale on Ebay. $349,999.99. If I could win the lottery I would buy it and convert it back to a little theater. If you have the time go to www.ebay.com and look at the pictures that are there. Much of the original interior is still in tact. I sure hope someone doesn't buy and destroy it. *sigh* The Kennedy being torn down was enough to take. Kirksville doesn't have many historical buildings and I guess doesn't have the $ to retain the ones it has. *sigh* Best wishes, Claudia ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russell Brown" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2003 11:50 AM Subject: [Adair Co, MO] CLAUDIA MINOR > My thanks to Claudia Minor for her wonderful response to my query about the Kirksville poor house cemetery.
