    3. Hello Everyone, Since most of the location lists for which I serve as Administrator are fairly slow right now, I decided to take this opportunity to hand out a little advice about posting your queries. These ideas are not intended to be hard rules. Instead, these are simply ways for you to have more of a chance that an interested party will read your post (not just delete it). Firstly, make sure that the subject line of your post mentions the surname of your post in capital letters. If you have the given name in the subject line, do not capitalize it. Another good thing to put into the subject line is a time-frame. So, for example, you might have a subject line reading something like: HUDSON (1820-present) -or- Susan (GIBSON) ELLIS (b ca 1879) Then, when you type the query itself, make sure to use caps for all of the surnames... but never use caps for the given names. We all want the exposure that having posts on the lists gives to us. So, use these ideas as a guide to making the most out of the time you spend to ready the query. Then, also take that information and use it, in much the same way, to post to the county's query board. BTW, signing your post makes it much more personal. And, makes it much more likely that someone will indeed respond if s/he has a connection or has some help for you. Fondest Genealogical Regards, Leslie Kohler
