Hello Everyone, Recently I was checking the census (for fun) for some already-known information about my husband's family. As is not unusual, I found a whopper of a mistake. So, I am sending in the information in case anyone is interested. 1910 Benton Township, Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri - 110 East Normal Avenue WISE, Louis A. (Head of Household) WISE, Essie (wife) KOHLER, Leona (step-daughter) KOHLER, Julia M. (step-daughter) KOHLER, Ordell H. (step-son) KOHLER, Harley S. (step-son) To anyone who did not know these people, it would seem that Leona, Julia, Ordell, and "Harley" all had the same father. "Harley" was actually Charlie, and his surname was DOWNING. You see, Louis WISE was Essie's (nee GLENN) 3rd husband. Charles Samuel "Chuck" DOWNING (1904- 1956) was my father-in-law's half-brother. I will be putting this information out on numerous message boards and also leaving a correction note on Ancestry.com. Leslie Kohler (lived in Kirksville 1968-1976) .
