    2. In a message dated 7/15/2004 6:52:10 PM Pacific Standard Time, LazyTombstone writes: Check out the world tree project on ancestry, there are 9 families that have posted on Daniels parents John Gilson and Edna, but no children listed, there is a listing with children's names if you look under Edna Hunter with John Gilson as spouse, there are then, 15 listings, some showing 8 children, some without any. Are all these people related to you? Yes Indeed Tom. These are all my Gilson families. I descend through Joshua, who was my Grandfather. The listings were made mostly through other researchers that I have exchanged descendant information on. The main person I have no information on is Daniel Martin Gilson b. 1876 in Adair County, Missouri. He left home after 1900 and no trace has been found, except his sister Millicent Ann (Gilson) Covert's obituary states that he was still alive in 1936. I have checked all the census since 1900 and have not found him listed. Dave - [email protected]

    1. Re: [OHCOLUMB] What happened to Daniel Gilson ?
    2. Hi ! Jim, Sorry for the confusion on the original subject line. It should be GILSON. Anxious to hear from you on the GILSON's. John Gilson was b. 1814 Elk Run Twp. Columbiana County, Ohio, son of John Sr. from Allegheny County, Pennsylvania & Sarah Stephenson. The connection to the Covert's is though the 1814 John Gilson. His first child a daughter, Millicent Ann Gilson married Morris Daniel COVERT in 1881 at Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska. Daniel was born at Unionville, Putnam Co. Missouri in 1856. I have Daniel's father listed as David Covert b. 1815 Pennsylvania. His mother was Sarah HANNMON from Ohio. Dave - [email protected] In a message dated 7/15/2004 12:56:32 PM Pacific Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Dave, I research Columbiana and Mahoning counties in eastern Ohio and the bordering counties in western Pennsylvania. My files are quite extensive, but I honestly cannot say right now, what I have on the name Gilson. I originally read Gibson when I scanned your query. I will check tonight when I get home from work to see if I have anything at all on any Gilsons. I am, however, interested in anything you have on the Covert line that you can share. Give me a day or two and I will get back to you. Regrds, Jim [email protected] wrote: Daniel Martin GILSON, b. 1876 Adair or Putnum County Missouri, son of 1814 John Gilson, b. 1. ANDREW MADDEN
    2. Bruce & Dottie Hinrichs
    3. Hello List, I found Andrew Madden born 1795 in Maryland, in the 1880 census age 85 living with his daughter and son-in-law Phillip and Margaret Shoop in Nineva, Adair County MO. I believe that this Andrew Madden is my great great grandfather but so far have no evidence to prove this. I wonder if some kind soul could tell me what churches might be in that area. I recently called the Adair County offices and was not able to get a death certificate for him. Is there anyone that might have access to church records of that area and could look?? This has been a brick wall for me for almost 30 years and all of a sudden the possible answer has come so easily - at least hopefully. With kind regards Dottie Hinrichs This email was scanned with Norton Anti Virus 2003.
