The Cass County as well as Saline County. Henry Tarrant, whose daughter Martha Elizabeth was one part of it. Martha's dates are 1842-1917 She married John D Taylor-1838-1880 who farmed either for Mr. Tarrant and/or owned a small farm nearby I discovered today that John D Taylor is listed on findagrave as being buried n Arrow Rock Cemetery with his baby son Bruce. A listing for this cemetery said he was KILLED on May 8,1880, the day of his death. Hoping someone will read this, have photos, information which they might share Thank you susan Thompson
I've started a wordpress page about Hermann, Missouri photographer Robert C. Mumbrauer. It has photos of his studio in Hermann through the years, and also an example of his cabinet card work. http://waldonia.wordpress.com The Western States Manuscript Collection has notified me that they hold several of his photos, so when I get repros of those, I'll post them on my wordpress page. waldonia
Looking for any information on whereabouts of the plates and negatives of the photographic collection of Robert C. and son Charles G. Mumbrauer of Hermann, Mo. Robert was an itinerant photographer based in Hermann; he established a studio there which his son carried on. Any info about what happened to all the photos and negs would be appreciated.
Hi Peggy, I just wanted to say I have several old fotos from that same studio, from the 1880's and 1890's, I think. My subjects were mostly Gooddings, or related to them. Sorry I don't know anything about the Browns or McClaskeys. Carla Hunter Southwick -----Original Message----- From: Peggy A. We ran across a photo of two young females. In light writing, towards the end of the day, I noticed "Aunt Jane Brown". This picture is ca. 1800's (my best guess). Was taken in West Side Square in Milan, Missouri. The studio was called: Healy Studio. My guess, is that this is the Brown family that is related to the Robert John McClaskey Family. Robert John died in the home of his brother-in-law, Robert Brown. Robert Brown was married to Robert John McClaskey's sister: Mary Jane McClaskey. I do not know if this is the "Aunt Jane Brown" or not. I am looking for any assistance in identifying the folks in the photo, and am willing to share with family of the folks in the photo. Thank you, Peggy A. Rowe-Snyder. Robert John McClaskey is my gr gr grandfather. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to MO-VINTAGEPHOTOS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Hello list. Looking for information about an itinerant photographer by the name of Joseph Newberry. We have most of the information about his family line. What we are looking for are his actual photographs which are likely spread far and wide in Nebraska. Anyone that has any of his photos in their collections we would appreciate hearing from. His name is Joseph A. Newberry, and he was born in 1875 in Mills County, Iowa. So his photos probably started turning up on the late 1890's. He was married to Charlotte Everetts in 1898. He died in Wayne, Nebraska. Also known to have lived in Antelope. He traveled around NE taking photos. A few have turned up here and there. If anyone knows the location of a larger body of his work, please get in touch with me privately. Also a cousin of his named John Marshall Newberry was a photographer in Scott Co. Missouri. If you have family photographs from his studio or know the location of a larger body of his work, please contact me. Sue

I know that a lot of you really enjoy the occasional chats held at ArkansasFamilies.net, and I have been thinking that since we don't always have time for them, and since no time is convenient for everyone, that perhaps we should create a mailing list to make up for that.
