I have only done a GEDCOM SPLIT one time - and I think I did it the same way as the other email - but it's more time consuming. You have to pick and choose who you want in it. I do recall it was a pain, and seriously thought about opening smaller files for future reference. You could always do the Genealogy Report (VIEW, GENEALOGY REPORT), then CONTENTS and # OF GENERATIONS. This can be files as a .pdf (you know, those cute Adobe commercials?). Click FILE, then EXPORT TO PDF. Name your file, and then save it as a .pdf. Of course, you have to have Adobe to open it. I suggest you download that program if you don't have it. With the new FTW, it's indispensible!
