3. Greetings, All! This just came in from another genealogy list I'm on, and I 'm posting it in the hopes it might help someone on the list. Happy Hunting! Cori It is now possible for veterans and family members of deceased veterans to obtain copies of DD-214's online. To obtain a DD-214, go to the National Personnel Records Center's Website (http://www.archives.gov/research_room/vetrecs/). You can also go online (http://www.archives.gov/facilities/mo/st_louis/miliatry_personnel_records/standard_form_180.htm) to order the DD-214's via mail or fax. You can obtain your DD-214 by filling out Standard Form 180, which can be downloaded from the Forms page (http://www.military.com/Resources/ResourceSubmittedFileView?file=Forms.htm). The new web-based application was designed to provide better service on these requests by eliminating the records center's mailroom processing time. Veterans and next of kin may access this application at this page.
