    3. Hello, If anyone is planning on going to Valhalla Cemetery - would appreciate if they could check on the surname of MEIER. John MEIER died between 1910 and 1918, his wife, Theresa MEIER (nee NEUDECKER) died 1918 and know that she is interred at Valhalla and thought perhaps John was also interred at Valhalla. Their son, John, born about 1890 was married to a lady named Elsie - in 1930 they lived at 5446 Hodimont Ave., and I thought perhaps they too are interred at Valhalla. John and Elsie had a daughter named Mildred born about 1913. Thanks Laura California

    3. Dear Laura, Did you check the obit index at the ST. Louis Public LIbrary for John, Sr.? http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/obit.htm Also, marriage indices if you are looking for info on wife Elsie. http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/geneinfo.htm It would be helpful if you can get an approximate date for the marriage. Following is from Kathy Smith at the library: "As for marriages, "before 1913" is ok because there is a single set that covers 1881-1911, then it's just a couple of extra years. 1925/26, for instance, is ok also - usually any span of about five years or less is not too bad. The films after 1911 are arranged two years at a time, if that helps. A range of 1922 to 1943 gets a bit trickier, but can sometimes be narrowed down by checking the city directories, which list spouses after 1930". 3. Hello Georgia, Yes, I have checked the St. Louis Obits - and there are 5 possibilities - just thought if someone were going to Valhalla, it might be an easy check. Thanks for your suggestions.
