    3. Just a bit of information to all list members. Anything like that will bounce to either Michelle or myself, which ever of us is the administrator of record. It will not get through to our list unless we release it to the list manually. So the email had to be directed to you personally and not through the list. I do see spam trying to hit the list from time to time. Any messages trying to be posted to the list hit Michelle or me first. We contact the person to make sure they are not a spammer (if they are the email will bounce) and invite them to join the list and post the note if it is on topic. If they don't want to do that but are legitimate we will forward. You have seen this happen very infrequently. RootsWeb also runs an anti spam filter that catches a lot of this stuff before it ever gets to us. Yeah! So keep those "On Topic" emails going and don't worry about spam from the list. One other thing, if someone subscribes and starts sending spam...you know we are going to contact that person off list. You also know if they don't adhere to the guidelines we will take action because spam is something we will need to stop and stop quickly. I am sure you all understand why. Back to genealogy....
