    1. [StL-Metro] OTTO & PIETSCHMANN
    2. Hi, My ggrandfather Albert PIETSCHMANN came to St. Louis as a Lutheran School Teacher in 1868. He was born in Frankenhausen, Duchy of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt on 14 April 1818. He came to Buffalo, NY by way of the Ship Meta, Bremen to NY, landing on 29 May 1848. He married Wilhelmine Sievers in Buffalo, in 1850, and about 1859 went to the Lutheran Seminary in Fort Wayne to study for the teaching ministry. He then served as a parochial school teacher for churches in IL, IN, MO. He died 13 August 1891 and is buried in Western Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, St. Louis city. His son Bernhard Emil Otto PIETSCHMANN, my grandfather, was born in Buffalo, NY, 14 Jan 1856. He married Emma Margarethe Linhardt in St. Louis on 30 October 1892. He was co-owner of the Enterprise China and Glass Co. at 520 Franklin Avenue, St. Louis. He died 01 October 1937 and is buried at Our Redeemer Cemetery in Affton. Louis and Margarethe OTTO are my brick walls. I know they came from Bavaria and in the 1850 Census they are listed as living with their daughter Margarethe, her husband Johann Wolfgang Linhardt, and their baby Margarethe Louise Linhardt. Margarethe OTTO is shown as the baptismal sponsor for Margarethe Louise Linhardt, born 15 Oct 1849. Always willing to share information. LaVerne
