Although the county library does have some microfilm readers that copy, not all of them do. In fact I believe they prefer you to do your research on those that don't copy and then transfer to a copier. Probably they are most crowded on weekends when people are not at work. It has been a while since I was at the MO Historical Museum library on Skinker, but I think all of the directories are now on microfilm The shelves where the actual directories had been were empty.
