    3. List: The Burial Certificate for my G-G-G grandmother who died October 1858 of Typhoid Fever says she was buried at St Marks. I have looked various places and can't come up with a St Marks cemetery. The closest thing I can come up with is St Marcus. Can anyone help? 3. St. Mark's Cemetery in Granite City, Illinois is very close to St. Louis and may be the one you are looking for... There is one in De Soto, MO too... http://home.mindspring.com/~stmarks1/ one in Florissant http://www.netministries.org/see/churches.exe/ch01519 a link for St. Mark's Church in Clayton http://stlouis.missouri.org/neighborhoods/history/yeatman/churches27.htm link that tells its history starting in mid-town around 20th. (Note many churches had their own cemeteries that are not gone and those graves moved to other ones that happened to several of my relatives who were buried in the cemetery associated with what is now the Shrine of St. Joseph. That cemetery was closed and my relatives were moved to Calvary). For an interesting article about moving graves see this link http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/Buecher4.htm an index for St.Marcus United Church of Christ burials from Dave Lossos' site http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/ there is a whole section about 1/2 way down the main site (second URL listed) on Undertakers and Cemeteries. Good luck to you! 3. Dear Barbara, Dave Lossos' website for genealogy in St. Louis has a burial index 1847-1879 for St. Marcus United Church of Christ that was translated and indexed by Bob Buecher: http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/Buecher4.htm Georgia Barbara Coakley wrote: > List: > > The Burial Certificate for my G-G-G grandmother who died October 1858 of > Typhoid Fever says she was buried at St Marks. > > I have looked various places and can't come up with a St Marks cemetery.
