WILLIAM A. JONES - born about 1839 Canada, He was in St. Louis by 1859 or before. Abt 1860, he worked on a ship/boat etc. He resided at 205 North 4th St in St. Louis, Mo. He rented rooms and at some time ran a bar. According to some of divorce papers, he may have been one of my ancestrial grandmother's husbands. It seems like he may have been of questionable character. I have traced him in the City directory until 1890/1891. I have not found further record or death for him. Since William Jones is such a 'common' name, it is hard to trace. I have no indication that he had a religious preference. My guess is that he did not.
