I know we are beating this subject to death, but I have a question and do think it is a little history/genealogy related. I have noticed on some of my Southern and some of my east coast research, that often a 'r' or 'er' is put at the end of a name. Why is that? For example: Ilah is sometimes 'Iler' and Diane is Dianer etc. Has anyone else noticed this? I think people in England do this too in some areas. I would like to know the whys and wherefores of this if any one knows? Pat
