    1. [StL-Metro] Earthquake of 1811
    2. December 16, 1811 there was a huge earthquake along the New Madrid fault in southeast Missouri that caused the Mississippi River to reverse its course and flow northward. Where would the water back up to? That much water had to be displaced to some point. Does anyone know where that point was?----Jim
