Hello, Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis was a railroad operating in the local area. I think they did work for other railroads. My dad and my uncle worked there. My dad was a machinist; my uncle was a boilermaker. My dad retired from TRRA around 1980; my uncle retired around 1965. TRRA owned the Eads Bridge for many years as I can remember my dad having a pass so we didn't have to pay when we crossed it. Their insignia was a big yellow "flower" (circle with petals surrounding it) with TRRA in the center. I remember when the railroad had a contest among their employees to come up with an insignia. A man my dad worked with won -- but I can't remember his name. TRRA had the tracks below the arch. I remember my dad telling me the story of an engine breaking down and he was called to fix it. The railroad yard was in north St. Louis and dad went down near the arch, got the engine started, then for a while drove ahead of it on the tracks (in his little VW bug) to make sure it would keep running. People would go by honking and motioning to him that there was a train behind him. He got a big laugh out of that. TRRA also had offices in Union Station. Mary Erwin
