    3. Beautiful German Catholic Gothic Church on Sarpy ave. torn down in the early 60s to build the Vandeventer overpass I believe. A German friend of mine use to complain that they tore down a beautiful well-made German church and saved the nearby "shanty Irish ramshackle church" St. Cronan's. Of course 90% of Catholic churches today look "ramshackle" to me.
