I did a quick search in the 1880's and did find Christian Remshardt with a son named, George, who was born in 1868 - he was 12 years old; this family was living on Jackson Street.     3. Dear Laura, In 1910, there is a George, age 41, widowed living with Christian (Head of household) and several others including Christian's grandson. ED 144, p. 7A. Forgot to include it.
