List: Looking for a William Fisher (americanized "Fischer"). He was a grocer at 9th & Carr in the early 1850s. and was from Hannover. Guess of birth is 1810s This is a recent find for me. My g-grand worked in his store when he arrived in StL in 1854. Never knew what his StL connection was. Found a longshot - William Fischer connected to the old Chouteau Mansion at 7th & Market as a restraunteur in the early 1860s. This isn't far from 9th & Carr but everything was fairly close then. Ironically, I know about the Fischer family in Hannover but not the StL Fisher's. Thanks Gary Stoltman Mercerville, NJ
