    3. "Online Searchable Indexes & Records" This is what I am about more than anything else. Finding these databases and exhorting, lobbying and working for more. The chances of getting a "hit" from a roll call or an inquiry about such and such a ship, street, cemetery, what have you, is very remote. I don't have time either to sift through feature articles about the hobby of genealogy. In this spirit, I present the link below. It is from a list of Genealogy for Dummies. I guess I am a Dummy because from going to this list I found out two things I didn't know from all the other lists I subscribe to: 1) That the St. Louis Probate Court Digitization Project was now up to 1900. 2) That the Missouri State Archives Pre-1909 Birth & Death Records now include St. Louis, which they didn't for a long time before. THIS ARCHIVE HAS DATA FOR SOME REASON NOT CONTAINED IN ANCESTRY.COM's FOR-PAY "St. Louis City Death Records, 1850-1908". http://www.deathindexes.com/missouri/index.html Here is the original email I got from Genealogy for Dummies: (a genealogy guide) http://www.deathindexes.com/ Recent additions include new links for: California, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Missouri, Ohio & Tennessee. All 50 states are represented - some have many links, while others have just one or two.
