    3. Dear Denise,' I would try the St. Louis Public Library first. It would be the cheapest way to do it. Go to the following website and click on vital records (item # 5) to see what they have, then go back , go to item #13 and click on "Reference Desk" to request the record. http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/geneinfo.htm If they cannot find it, I would try the Recorder of Deed office. http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/recorder.htm While you are at this website, you might want to click on "Return to Genealogy inSt. Louis" to see what else Dave Lossos has on his very good website. If the family was Catholic, you might want to try and find the church record of the marriage. The Mormon church has microfilmed the Catholic Church records. You would need to know where the bride lived since they would most likely marry in her church. You can email the St. Louis Public Library for look ups and copies of the city directories but the request has to be separate from the request for the marriage lookup. Following is the website for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. http://www.archstl.org/archives/index.html Georgia in Michigan Denise Ashleman wrote: > Could someone please advise who I contact to get a copy of a marriage > record, it is for Edward Aeschliman and Marie Studer, date - > April 12, 1859, Volume/Page 09-364, St. Louis, Missouri Marriages. > > I am also interested in finding out more about the parents of both > individuals.
