My names of interest CURRY, MCGOVERN, BENDER, DOTTER, STORY, NIEMAN, MEEKER, CLARK, FRITSCHLE, WRIGHT, HOWARD, BECKLEY, DOYLE, PICARD. James CURRY and Ellen MCGOVERN came to St Louis in about 1854 with their children, Isabelle, Ann, James, John, Ellen and Hugh. Disaster of some kind overtook them, perhaps a boat accident; Ellen was left alone and the children were placed in other homes, possibly as domestic employees. Some of them moved on to Kansas City and New Orleans. Ann remained in St. Louis, married William STORY in 1865--had children: Isabelle, Lillie, Lauretta, William, Ellen, Bertha and Francis. Lillie married Emil NIEMAN, had son Emil Jr. and daughter Estelle, who married David MEEKER. Lauretta married a CLARK and Bertha married a HOWARD. Francis married and had sons Francis and James STORY Ellen married Thomas WRIGHT but moved on to Kansas City, as did James and Hugh. John married Maggie FITZGERALD at St. Malachy's in 1874, witnesses Charles PICARD and Kate FITZGERALD. Had sons John and James. Calvary cemetery has 2 John CURRYS buried in one plot in 1877, must be father and son. Other son James CURRY, born 1877 may have married Josephine BECKLEY in 1902. Any help appreciated.
