Now Gary--none of my direct ancestors were Virginia Bushwhackers, only some distant cousins whom I don't take credit for. And don't forget I am half German on my mother's side, and her people only cared about making money. (Oh gee, Germans and money? What a surprise!) They--I am told--worked for the North by day and for the South by night. Hmmm? Mr Kilby: If none of your direct ancestors were Virginia Bushwhackers, why are you living in Virginia? This seems very suspicious to me. I think you should return to St Louis immediately and become gainfully employed like your mother's genteel German immigrant ancestors who became so wealthy by working so industriously both day and night. You should take heed and emulate my own Irish family who went into the Iron and steal business and became moderately well to do back in the St Louis City of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Remember this, you maybe should make yourself a small note, "A penny saved is a penny earned."----Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: Craig Kilby<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Friday, December 23, 2005 11:13 PM Subject: Re: [MO-STLOUIS-METRO] Query Now Gary--none of my direct ancestors were Virginia Bushwhackers, only some distant cousins whom I don't take credit for.
