Hi Gary- According to the 1910 census I have, she was 49, so I'm assuming she was born in 1860-61 somewhere in Austria. I did find her death record on the Illinois Death Index in East St Louis, St Clair County, and she died in February, 1920. So my Great great grandfather's death certificate is wrong. thanks! Hi Kate No record of a Chouteaurain Ave. It's almost certainly Chouteau Ave. Additionally, I believe they moved back to the same 'neighborhood.' Missouri Ave & Chouteau actually intersect around the 2300 block per the 1896 map. South-siders! StL was a German City. About 50% of the Germans lived on the south side of Market St. (the dividing line) 35% lived north and the balance in the western part.
