I was looking around in the Drouin records of Ancestry's Canadian Collection and found a link to "French Catholic Church Records-Drouin Collection 1695-1954. I looked at the listing on the page and it included some states in the US. Missouri was one of them. So I clicked on Missouri and found a collection of records of early churches. So I clicked on the late 1800's and found that the cathedral records are there! I went into the records to see how well they are photographed and they look very good. The first records I saw were for baptisms in 1856 for a families named Boyle, McNabb, Kerns, Curran, etc. These are all records - not just French ones. This is exciting for people who don't have access to St. Louis early church records. As I said, I was searching Canada when I found them. You will need a full access subscription to Ancestry to access these files. I wish I had had more time to find out how many churches were there.
