I am trying to figure out if the following people were related to my relatives. Barbara SCHUMACHER (1865-1943) was a sponsor at the baptism of my great uncle Oliver William DEVINE in February 1889 at St. Kevin's Catholic Church. The following year, my great aunt Dora Phoebe REISS was a witness at the marriage of Barbara Shumacher and Robert ROLF at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Barbara was the daughter of Mathias Schumacher and Sophia BURKHARDT. Sophia later married Henry MARISCHEN after the death of Mathias Schumacher. Barbara had a relative named Johann (John) Schumacher who was also a witness at her wedding. The sister of Dora Reiss was Mathilda Reiss, my great grandmother. In January 1880 Mathilda married Thomas DEVINE at Hold Guardian Angels Church. The witnesses at their wedding were Emma WHITE and James McNAMARA. I am wondering if they are relatives. If anyone knows any connections between SCHUMACHER, BURKHARDT, WHITE or MCNAMARA with the Devine or Reiss clan, I would sure like to hear about it.
