Good Folks - Loudwig/Louis Spoeri started a brewery in St Louis probably around the mid-1800's (don't know the date) and apparently his brother-in-law Tobias Spengler was a partner. The name of the brewery was Louis Spoeri & Company. Louis died in 1858 and ultimately Tobias took over. Tobias, with a son and son-in-law renamed the brewery Bremen Brewing Company. A brief history of that company is available through Google. Does anyone know anything about the original Louis Spoeri & Company? I have seen Louis' probate file. Also, can anyone locate obits for Louis Spoeri and his wife Christine Spengler, and Tobias Spengler? If pictures exist I would like copies as well; I will pay for reproduction and mailing. I am not having much luck but it appears that St. Louis has wonderful resources available. Any and all help appreciated. Thank you, Phil
