The story detailed his short, colorful life including a burglary conviction and workhouse stint of six months, connections with bombing, extortion and murder. The wounds were not considered life-threatening but blood poisoning developed and he died as duly reported on the front page on 9 Feb 1930. He was a Union Business Agent.
