Hi Bob, I just found our John Goggin, actually there are two of them in the "G's" you uploaded today. I was only looking for one so now I'm really confused. :) Seriously, thanks so much for your efforts. One of the John Goggin's is a shoemaker who boards at the SE Corner of 11th & Market. The other is a tailor whose residence is on N9th between Green & Washington Ave. Would these addresses indicate the area of any Irish Catholic Churches in the area? Now I'm waiting for the K's to see if our Kelly's or Kelley's were in the neighborhood as well. Thanks from Oklahoma! 11th & Market St. The closest two churches are St. John the Apostle and Evangelist (1847), English speaking / Irish originally predominated; and the (Old) Cathedral Basilica St. Louis (1766). If you have a subscription to ancestry.com there are records online for the Old Cathedral; baptisms 1769 - 1954, marriages 1781 - 1954 and deaths 1781 - 1954. Unfortunately indexes for these databases have not been completed yet but if you know the date or are willing to do some searching... 9th & Washington: The closest church is St. Patrick's (1844), Irish originally predominated.
