Hi Peggy May have been, "Let's Play Golf" at the corner of Wood and Manchester about a mile east of Lindbergh. It advertised itself as, "The World's Largest Outdoor Lighted Golf Course." It consisted of three courses - all of which were 18 holes. There were trees and some grass that made up the "fairways." Also many pinball machines and 'Mexican Curios" (junk) for sale. It closed in the early 60s. Was or is a Ford dealership now. As you can tell, I spent much of my misspent youth there. I've been trying to remember the name of a miniature golf course we went to several times when I was a kid.?? I think it was out Manchester -- or somewhere west.? We lived in north St. Louis and it seemed like a long way out there.? It was unique because it was built into a wooded area and was much more rustic than other miniature courses.?? It occurred to me someone on this list might know of it -- and whether it might still exist? Thanks, Peggy Kruse Florissant ________________________________________________________________________ AOL now offers free email to everyone.
