My Great Grandfather & Grandfather also changed their names and would like to know the details on how this happened. Great Grandfather went by Isaac Wilson Conner on various census (but some documents & written family history have Connor, O'Conner or O'Connor) His sons went by: Richard Conner (Uncle) Eugene Conner (Uncle) Edward Conners (Grandfather) Thanks, Betty J Bagwell (Conners) Kathy Greifzu <kgreifzu@charter.net> wrote: I thought my aunt had to have her name changed legally and they modified her birth certificate some way to show the change.
