If you have a connection to any glass and/or crystal making families, I have just begun a new board at rootsweb. It is listed under topics, (you will need to press the link that says show all topics). Then select occupations and you will see Glass and Crystal Makers. I decided to do this as a board instead of an email list because this list keeps me pretty busy...but I love you! Feel free to post surnames and look for connections with other glass and crystal making families all over the world. St. Louis had several glass and crystal making operations through the ages. I am distantly related to one of them. More closely related to glass and crystal makers from the Alsace, Lorraine, and Moselle areas of France/Germany. Feel free to tell others who might be interested. By the way, there are a lot of really neat topics under topics that don't show unless you press the show all topics link http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.board&r=rw&p=topics For those needing help with Adoptions there is a link for that and one for Genealogy software and crime and all kinds of other things. ALVAREZ - MARIE-EUGENIE,( d/o Eugenio Alvarez, born in Madrid Spain & Marie Josephe Crepeau) who Married FRANCOIS I. CREELY/CRELY. Would like to hear from anyone researching their descendants, especially interested in the following children, whom I have nothing on: JEROME-FRANCOIS or FRANCOIS-JEROME(b. nov 28 1818, m. Sept 2 1839) who married ANN GANNING, cannot find anything on GANNING name. Could be an Americanized name from GANNON or other names etc. Marie CREELY/CRELY b. July 8 1820 - nothing known about her Auguste-Eugene CREELY/CRELY b. Feb 10 1827 nothing known. The Crely siblings that I do have info on are: Julie-Zoe Crely who married Joseph Beauchamp (MY direct line). Julie was born in St. Louis, Bapt. IN Vincennes IN, married in St. Louis, then left to live in Quebec until they moved back to St. Louis about 1860. Charles Crely, who married Marguerite Eliz. Lebeau Francois Crely married a 2nd time to Adele Reaume and had 2 more children: Francois b. March 4 1832 and Marie Adeline born Jan 1 1834, I know nothing of their lines. *** MARIE-AMELIA-HONORINE BEAUCHAMP, commonly known as Emilie/Emma, d/o Julie and Joseph, born Dec 4 1852 in Canada, died Mar 1 1872 in St. Louis, possibly Carondelet. She was 18, would like to find death record or where buried. I have checked the ST. Cath Cem. sites. ***** ALVAREZ, 'MANNY' (Emanuel-Gregoire) married Aspasie Verger in 1819. Would like to know about their Children, if anyone is doing this line. Manny was brother to Eugenio & sister to above Marie Eugeine, and had early city market. ALVAREZ, AUGUSTE (another Brother) married Bridgette Latresse, I have some info ALVAREZ, MARIE-LOUISE (sister) b. April 24 1800 I have read about these people in the history books (the Spanish Soldier info etc and have a picture of 'Casa Alvarez' in Florissant. I have done quite a bit of the usual research, but am looking for further information, stories or pictures of their descendants. I come from an adopted family and have none of the usual things, such as bibles or stories handed down of my biological people. Perhaps there are some cousins out there? If anyone knows also, how or if they are tied into the Alvarez/Hortiz lines. It looks like an Alvarez was born in Spain and took the Hortiz name when he married a lady with the last name of Hortiz. Could be unrelated to my Alvarez. thank you Pat

James CURRY, born 1820 in Ireland, came to St. Louis in about 1854 with wife Ellen, daughters Ann, Isabelle and Ellen, sons James and John. A son Hugh was born soon after arrival. They had lived 10 years in Connecticut, having come from Ireland in about 1846. James disappeared; we suspect a boat disaster of some kind was involved, soon after arrival. Ellen, the mother went to work and the children were scattered out around St. Louis. The families of Ann, Ellen, John and Hugh remained in St. louis for a time. Some records found at St. Malachy's Church. Joyce Curry __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Exclusive Video Premiere - Britney Spears http://launch.yahoo.com/promos/britneyspears/
