Thanks, what I am really wanting to find is information about when the Mormon pioneers were there, and it was called Far West, at that time 1837 I had a g g Uncle that was buried there, and if I could find more or if a cemetery is still there. I think the town was torn down, but did they move the cemetery or just build or grow over it. Thanks Charlcy UT. Caldwell County Organized December 29, 1836, from Ray County and named for John Caldwell, Indian scout. Alexander Doniphan is credited with naming Caldwell County in honor of an Indian fighter whom his father, Joseph Doniphan, had known in Kentucky. According to Floyd C. Shoemaker, Doniphan probably referred to Colonel John Caldwell, the famous soldier for whom Caldwell County, Kentucky was named. Mathew Caldwell has also been cited as the man for whom the Missouri County was named. You could also try this link at the University of MO

Hello all, I apologize for the length of this message, but think any Family Tree Version 11 users should know as well as any one going to upgrade to it. Just want thank all of you who responded to my Family Tree problem question. I have had several prefab replies from the company. I paid to have a computer man check out my machine, I have used "house call", I have checked for everything from a - z, etc. The computer man said my machine was fine and all the other programs were fine. Among other things, he did a "repair" of the FT program. He said after all this, the only thing left would be to remove FT 11. (The program would still occasionally shut down but sometimes stays open, so it is something in the FT file.) I thought I would mention this because one of the error messages I received is very important to know about if you should get it. It refers to a "Kernal 32" and I have no idea what that is. You are supposed to be notified IF they solve the problem. But it refers you to their website to read the following (all words from their site): (I have ME and you can get the message just using the program not just viewing CDS). Jean Quote: Why do I get a "FTW error in Kernel32.dll" error message viewing WFT CDs? A World Family Tree CD, I receive an error message. (Known error messages are "out of memory", "not enough hard disk space", and an FTW error in Kernel32.dll.) Answer Despite intensive product testing, we did not discover this issue until FTM 11 had already been released. This issue only affects customers using Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME. Our developers are investigating a solution for the problem, but to date, no workaround exists. We will update this article when a solution is discovered. WARCABA, Johanna (this was spelling on marriage license) married STEFFENAUER, Conrad 1864 St. Louis. Have found this person with many spellings, some of which are VARCABA, BARTSEBA and about 8 other spelllings with the B.. One census said she was from Bohemia. WIDNER, Catherine, married FREY, John c. 1880 in St. Louis. Know this was a second marriage for him. Not sure if this was her first or if WIDNER is a first marriage name.
