My paternal grandmother was a Carleton with cousins in Missouri. My father's name is Howard Thompson Binstock, and his maternal grandmother's name was Paradine (or Paradene) Thompson. I've had trouble finding information about the siblings or parents of Paradine Thompson (apparently in Missouri in the 1820s). One gedcom describes Nero Morgan Thompson and wife Elizabeth Williams and lists as their children 10 who grew to maturity, including: 1. Howard E. Thompson -- b. 13 June 1819, d. 28 Dec 1864 in Alton IL (Union Prison camp) 2. William Short Thompson -- b. 7 Feb 1820, Fayette County MO 3. Mary Jane Thompson -- b. 24 Aug 1824, Howard County MO; d. 1888 4. Margaret Dunn Thompson, m. Thomas Banks Harris 5. John E. Thompson, 6. Uriah W. Thompson, CSA, b1833 Howard County MO 7. Milton Thompson, m. May Hoyt 8. James Thompson, b in Howard County MO 9. Willoughby Thompson, b. in Howard County MO 10. Colden Thompson, b. in Howard County MO. Paradine Thompson (b. appx 1859) married Charles Carleton and raised a family in Forest Park IL near Chicago. I'm hoping to document that Howard E. Thompson was the father of Paradine (aka Paradene aka Paradyne) Thompson and to learn the names of her siblings. Any leads would be appreciated. And information on Paradine's husband Charles Carleton (father, George Carleton) would also be appreciated. Thank you.
