Rosa Catherine Adams was born to Benjamin Franklin Adams and Lodusky Jane Cummins Adams Dec 1876, Andrew Co, Platte township, MO. She grew up in Ray County, also living for a time in St Joseph, MO. in Washington Township with her own family and with cousins. She went to Oklahoma about 1905, and settled in Pawnee, Pawnee County. There she met and married Elmer Smith, they had two children, Elmer Jr. abt 1910 in Pawnee, and Lodusky Marie Smith about 1912, also in Pawnee. She was in Fairfax, Osage county, in 1920, as that is when the birth of my father in law occured, (he being her grandson). She is there on the 1920 census listed as a widow , and boarding with a Hepler family, she was working as a dishwasher. The only information I have after that is in her father's obit, it states that in 1929, (at his death in CA., she was still in Fairfax, OK). I don't know what happened to Mr. Smith, or to her children, as they are not with her on census. I have been trying to find where she might be buried, but no luck so far.
