Just a reminder when you post to the list to change your subject line to something that applies to your post. It is not necessary to state that its MO Rollcall list as I have this automatically appended to the subject. The best thing to do is mention a few of the key names or counties in the subject so that others that glance over the subject lines of their emails will not see subjects such as [MOROLLCALL] Roll Call [MOROLLCALL] MO-ROLL CALL [MOROLLCALL] Missouri Roll Call note that [MOROLLCALL] is added to the first of what you choose as your subject line. Hello all, I found this site today, it is a wealth of information and I though some of the listers would be interested. It is the land Patent office, it has search abilities, and you can see the actual document images of land patents, it also shows if the land wa a homestead or for other use. I found quite a few of my ancestors, in counties I didn't even know they owned land in. When you go to the site, click on the link that says "search land patents" on the left side of the screen. You only need to put in the patentee's (the buyer's) surname and the state you wish to search. The address is: http://www.glorecords.blm.gov April in Washington state www.geocities.com/virgo82676
