I am trying to locate information about my gg grandfather who is listed in the 1880, Castor Township, Stoddard Co., Mo. I have looked at information in Mo. about the townships and can't seem to find where Castor township was located in 1880, or today. My gg grandfather was Starling Tucker HESTERLY, and arrived in Stoddard Co. around 1875, from Lawrence Co., Tn. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Louise Cooper Haase Georgia

I am researching a Charles H. Peats born around 1850 in Missouri and moved to Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana sometime before 1873. I have just received a virus from someone on this list. It came as a response to my Roll Call post. Hurray for NORTON, as it caught it before it created damage. It was the BadTrans virus, attached as a file s3msong MP3.zlo compressed file, and was stored in my windows temp folder as NAE7.mme. I do not know who on the list sent this to me, as the message was delegated by my virus program...but whoever responded to my post on Sat. the 28th, should check their computer. Not everyone is as diligent at keeping current on virus updates as I am. Searching for information on the James Madison Family. According to the Cedar Co. 1850 Fed census James was born in TN in 1813. He died in Cedar Co. in 1851. He was married at that time to Lucy Ann (Gore). It is believed that he was married prior to that time to Phoebe English. Thank you! Jim Allen
