    3. This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_000A_01C16EA6.FC58F780 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I'm researching my maternal grandparents, Walter A. BENHAM, born 1875 in Hamilton, Caldwell Co., MO and died 1958 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., KS. and Iva F. BENHAM nee MCCULLY, born 1883 in Carbon Center, Vernon Co., MO and died 1960 Wichita, Sedgwick Co., KS. They had nine children, two were stillbirths and the last one, Mary J., was born in Sedalia, Pettis Co., MO in 1915. I've found their family in the 1910 US Census for Bates Co., MO but am trying to locate their whereabouts in 1920. Their first child, Omer, was born 1900 in Butler, MO; it would also be nice to know when they were first married. They divorced some time in the late twenties and each married others and had other children, but remarried some time in the 1950's. I'm also researching Iva's parents (my ggrandparents) John MCCULLY (sp?) and Florence, nee ARMSTRONG. All I have is a copy of Iva's birth record from Vernon Co., which lists them as coming from Lake Twp., IL (but 1900 and 1910 Census lists Iva's parents as coming from MO). My Iva's death certificate is incomplete, and she even lies in an unmarked grave in Wichita; more questions than answers. ozarkemiller@earthlink.net Edward W. 3. Looking for clues as to the parents of Wright Nance and Catherine Doty, married March 23, 1849 in Wright County. 1850 Census lists them as living in Wright County, near his brother Josiah. He also had a sister, Minerva. They had 11 children and migrated to TX by way of AR. Annotations on the 1850 census states that they came from White County, TN and Hyde County NC, but have been unable to find anything have been looking for about 4 years. Would appreciate any help. 1. [MOROLLCALL] FERGUSON
    2. Terrie L. Lepkowski
    3. My grandfather was Richard Hayden FERGUSON born in Tompkinsville, Monroe County, Kentucky around 1867-68. On his marriage certificate (1905) from Montana it has his parents as Albert FERGUSON and Harriet MAINS. The story he told my father was that his father was killed in the line of duty as a revenue officer when Richard was a child. I was under the impression that he was killed in Kentucky but now believe he may have been killed in Missouri as a law officer not necessarily a revenue officer. My grandfather Richard was raised in Missouri and as a youngster went on several cattle drives to Montana. I can place him in the state of Montana as early as 1893 by the land patent papers. Several of his witnesses said that they knew him for fifteen to twenty years. He received his homestead papers in 1907 for one tract. On the 1900 census for Montana his parents are listed as having been born in Kentucky as he was. I have a family reunion photograph and have posted it on Ancientfaces.com under Ferguson. The photo was taken somewhere in Missouri and has the name of the photographer as A.? Graham and looks like Buckner, Mo. I believe it was taken sometime in 1928 or so. The way the chairs are set up it looks as though it was a large family reunion and photos may have been taken in family groups. He is sitting next to a blind woman that we believe was his sister. My grandfather was 20 years older than my grandmother at the time of his marriage and would have been in his late fifties in 1928. My father who was born in 1916 and was about 10 or 12 at the time remembers his father planning on going to the reunion from Washington state. I can place my grandfather in Montana until his death and have the place he was born but cannot seem to find any documents or information on him between birth and year he came to Montana. He died in Washington State in 1950. I have no idea where in Missouri the family may have settled and only can guess that if the photographer was from Buckner they may have lived somewhere near his studio unless photographers traveled around to reunions at that time. Any help or suggestions as to where to begin searching in Missouri would be greatly appreciated. Terrie

    1. [MOROLLCALL] Thompson / Williams grandchildren of Howard E. Thompson; Paradine Thompson; Charles Carleton
    2. Teresa Binstock
    3. My paternal grandmother was a Carleton with cousins in Missouri. My father's name is Howard Thompson Binstock, and his maternal grandmother's name was Paradine (or Paradene) Thompson. I've had trouble finding information about the siblings or parents of Paradine Thompson (apparently in Missouri in the 1820s). One gedcom describes Nero Morgan Thompson and wife Elizabeth Williams and lists as their children 10 who grew to maturity, including: 1. Howard E. Thompson -- b. 13 June 1819, d. 28 Dec 1864 in Alton IL (Union Prison camp) 2. William Short Thompson -- b. 7 Feb 1820, Fayette County MO 3. Mary Jane Thompson -- b. 24 Aug 1824, Howard County MO; d. 1888 4. Margaret Dunn Thompson, m. Thomas Banks Harris 5. John E. Thompson, 6. Uriah W. Thompson, CSA, b1833 Howard County MO 7. Milton Thompson, m. May Hoyt 8. James Thompson, b in Howard County MO 9. Willoughby Thompson, b. in Howard County MO 10. Colden Thompson, b. in Howard County MO. Paradine Thompson (b. appx 1859) married Charles Carleton and raised a family in Forest Park IL near Chicago. I'm hoping to document that Howard E. Thompson was the father of Paradine (aka Paradene aka Paradyne) Thompson and to learn the names of her siblings. Any leads would be appreciated. And information on Paradine's husband Charles Carleton (father, George Carleton) would also be appreciated. Thank you.
