January 24, 1866 the Grand Jury indicted the following: John Boles, Babe Poston, Town Poston, Dick Poston, Foster Mattews, Tench McCormick, W.M. Davis, Henry Gordon, M _ Gordon, Elias Williams, all charged with assault & battery. (Towns (or Towny) Postom was shot & killed in 1867 by his brothers Wm. Danial Read & George Gideon Read).
