Well, I finally got a reply back after putting in a query about early marriages from Jackson Co., AL. Since so many from this area came here from there, thought you might be interested in knowing that "No marriages before 1851 available unless some one has bible records. The court records were burned during the Civil War." That pretty well seals the deal on finding marriage records for several of my families since they all were in MO by 1850 or 1860.... RATS!!!!
