    3. Just heard an amazing story from Tom Olbricht, formerly of Thayer. His daughter is a professor at Pepperdine University in CA. She became interested in quilts and bid on a quilt she saw on ebay. In the picture of the quilt, she had noticed a name that resembled her last name. Won the bid and called her father (Tom) to tell him women's names were sewn into the blocks of the quilt. Turns out the quilt was made by the women of the church of Christ in Thayer, MO in 1958 for Nedra Jo Olbricht who was getting married. She died several years ago. She is the aunt of the lady who bought the quilt and sister of Tom. The quilt was sold by someone in Nashville, TN. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy" <lacywinston@earthlink.net> To: <MO-OREGON-HISTORY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 08, 2003 6:13 AM Subject: [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] Women > Good Morning, > > For all the wonderful women who made us what we are today: > > http://www.oregoncountyhistory.net/women/index.php > > > N > > > ==== MO-OREGON-HISTORY Mailing List ==== > http://www.oregoncountyhistory.net/ >
