I know we have more than one MARIOTT researchers on this list, so please excuse the public conversation. I have been trying to document the parentage and ancestry of William Henderson MARIOTT and Matilda FERRILL. I am learning that what has been shared with me from researchers that I've come in contact with, shared info with no documentation [here we go again!!].. There is a problem with the parents being Capt. John MARIOTT, and his father being Wm. MARIOTT who mar. Achsah [surname unknown]. Info on this Wm. has been sent saying that he fought in Rev. War. There was a Wm. who fought, but his wife's name sure wasn't Achsah.. I have been busy the past week conversing with a RAOK researcher who is also a MARIOTT researcher. He has gone back to the courthouse, and searched actual documents, and tells me that there was NO William who mar. a woman by the name of "Achsah".. So, because I have documentation for Wm. H. on down to current, I'm starting all over again trying to determine the parents of Wm. H. I did find Wm. H. in a Maryland census, but see that the AR census says that Matilda was born in Kentucky. I have squat on Kentucky info, and would really like to discuss more in depth with you MARIOTT researchers if you are interested in pursuing the Rev. War theory/prospect..
