Lanita, Anyone who's dead will be listed on SSDI. Kara Kara S.- Enjoying the genealogy puzzle!
There were groups who had their own plans before SS was passed and who are not listed. Now most people are listed because they have rolled many of those plans together like RR retirment board, certain professional groups etc. None of my ancestors that died in the late 1930s are listed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kara S" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 09, 2005 10:37 AM Subject: Re: [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] SSDI > Lanita, > > Anyone who's dead will be listed on SSDI. > > Kara > > > Kara S.- Enjoying the genealogy puzzle! > > > ==== MO-OREGON-HISTORY Mailing List ==== > http://www.oregoncountyhistory.net/ > >
I just checked Ancestry.com They say the SSDI is an index of all deceased person who had social security numbers, whose deaths have been reported to the SS administration ..... 98% of the persons in the SSDI died after 1962, but a few deaths go back to 1937 ........ Joan Griffin Rusk --
