Indeed interesting... I'll look into it further. It seems that Bourbon County, Kentucky as well as a few other spots were prime movers into the Oregon County area. Other places that seem to crop up for me at least: Quincy and Cook County, Illinois Eastern Tennessee, between Nashville and Knoxville North Carolina around the Asheville area South Carolina Pendleton District Central Ohio While I realize that these are general areas, they do seem to occur quite often in my various family lines. More so that I would attribute to randomness. I would be interested in seeing where other folks moved in from in the 1830-1870 time period. The son JOHN, if we are talking about the same one [and that's a big IF], would have been in the area the same time as his uncles [John C. SCONCE and Daniel W. SCONCE]....
