    3. Indeed interesting... I'll look into it further. It seems that Bourbon County, Kentucky as well as a few other spots were prime movers into the Oregon County area. Other places that seem to crop up for me at least: Quincy and Cook County, Illinois Eastern Tennessee, between Nashville and Knoxville North Carolina around the Asheville area South Carolina Pendleton District Central Ohio While I realize that these are general areas, they do seem to occur quite often in my various family lines. More so that I would attribute to randomness. I would be interested in seeing where other folks moved in from in the 1830-1870 time period. Was on the census for McMinn Co. TN, in 1840. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1850. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1860. Was on the census for Polk Co., TN, in 1870. Was on the census for Bradley Co., TN, living with her son, Thomas, in 1880. Cynthia Berry died in probably Bradley Co., TN, aft 1880; she was 71. They had the following children: i. Thomas. Born in 1828 in Tennessee. Was on the census for Polk Co. TN, in 1850. Was on the census for Bradley Co., Tennessee, his mother is in his household, in 1880. ii. Esther. Born in 1830. iii. Russell. Born in 1833. iv. Nancy. Born in 1837. v. Nelly. Born in 1840. vi. John. Born in 1843.************ vii. William. Born in 1845. The son JOHN, if we are talking about the same one [and that's a big IF], would have been in the area the same time as his uncles [John C. SCONCE and Daniel W. SCONCE].... The SCONCEs were "originally" from Bourbon Co., KY before moving to TN. Hope this helps!
