This was interesting to me, perhaps will be to others. In History of Fristoe's Regiment Missouri Calvary, CSA compiled and written by Ed Grooms, I noticed that COUCH, Alfred P.; COUCH, Francis M. and COUCH, George W. all had Webster County listed as residence or place of enlistment. I thought they all had Oregon County roots.
Doris, The reference to Webster County is in error. I believe that it is an error in transcription, but am not sure. It is a reference to the village of Webster, which was a former name for the village of Couch, Missouri.
