    1. [MO-OREGON-HISTORY] Elusive ancestors.....
    2. Hi there: I have a lot of elusive ancestors. Talk about brick walls...... On my Allman-Allmon side there is Tempa Almon (could it be Temperance?) She would be my Great Great Grandmother and, for the life of me, I cannot find who her husband was. She was born in North Carolina about 1807. The 1850 census was my last link I could find. Her son, James T. Allmon (abt. 1831 to abt. 1900) is the one who moved to Oregon County, MO. and raised his family. He had two wives: Mary Ann Bockman, born 1835 in Smith County, TN. and second Mrs. Sarah Hurst. Does anyone have a clue to help me out? Tess Kurtz at talltmbr@positech.net THANKS!!!
